Eldoret Comes Alive with Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan Festivities
14th December, 2024 Eldoret, Kenya:
Eldoret City was buzzing with excitement this past weekend as the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan rolled into town, spreading joy and festive cheer across Uasin Gishu County. Residents flocked to the event, where they were treated to an unforgettable celebration of giving and community spirit.
The highlight of the day was the festive giveaways, with lucky winners walking away with Christmas gifts such as goats (mbuzi), chickens (kuku), fish, flour, and hampers. These gifts brought smiles to families gearing up for the holiday season.
The caravan kicked off its Eldoret tour at Rupa Mall, transforming the city streets into a hub of magical moments inspired by the generosity of Santa Claus. Coca-Cola’s mission was clear: to bring people together, spread joy, and ignite the holiday spirit.
Among the jubilant winners was Janet Cherotich, who couldn’t hide her excitement.
“We were just having family time at Rupa Mall—we brought our children for swimming—and then we saw the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan. I decided to participate in the raffle, and I’m very lucky to have won a goat,” she shared, beaming with delight.
She added, “We will slaughter this goat during Christmas and share it with friends and family. Thank you, Coca-Cola, for bringing families together!”
The Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan began its nationwide tour on December 2 at the company’s Embakasi plant in Nairobi. It has since made its way through Mt. Kenya, Rift Valley, Nyanza, Eastern, and Western regions, uniting communities and spreading holiday magic at every stop.
“It’s not Christmas until Coca-Cola says so,” declared Ampher Apidi, Experiential Marketing Manager at Coca-Cola Beverages Africa Kenya. “Today, we officially declare the start of the festive season. We invite everyone to join in by sharing a Coke, a meal, and the joy of giving.”
As part of Coca-Cola’s Real Magic campaign, the caravan underscores the importance of human connections and acts of kindness, reminding Kenyans of the true meaning of the holiday season.
“Christmas for Coca-Cola is about more than just festivities—it’s about coming together to celebrate the relationships that matter most,” added Apidi. “This year, we’re delivering magical, kindness-filled experiences to communities across Kenya.”
To keep the festive spirit alive, Coca-Cola has partnered with malls and supermarkets nationwide, creating additional opportunities to spread holiday cheer.
As the Christmas season unfolds, Coca-Cola encourages everyone to make meaningful connections, create unforgettable memories, and embrace the joy of giving. This year’s Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan promises to leave a lasting impression on families and communities across the country.
